Mark is also trained in Sports Trauma Management (Pitch Side), Remedial Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Acupuncture for Sports Injuries and Ultrasound.
Treatments Include a variety of massage techniques, muscle energy techniques and soft tissue releases,designed to detect and treat soft tissue injuries, scar tissue and improve range of movement to aid recovery.
A full treatment lasts for 45 minutes or 60 minutes and includes a detailed consultation discussing medical history, a postural/joint assessment, previous and current injuries or complaints. This is followed by treatment, rehabilitation self care home advice, self-stretching and strengthening techniques will also be advised and taught.
Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy is suitable for most. However, it is not advisable for people suffering the following conditions;
Open wounds
Deep Vein Thrombosis (Blood Clot)
Infectious Skin Disease
Bleeding Disorders
Cancer
First Trimester of Pregnancy.
